Zoning Board · Meeting of April 9, 2026
DUXBURY — The Duxbury Zoning Board of Appeals voted 4-1 to approve a Trout Farm Lane entrance sign over resident objections, and continued a contested seawall deck case to June. A member cast the lone no vote, citing safety concerns on Winter Street, while a resident told the board "I think you guys have been lied to, and we've been lied to." The board separately approved, 4-0 with Chair Wayne Dennison recused, a special permit and variances for a 120-foot Vertex Tower Assets monopole at 421 Elm Street. It continued a dispute over a deck the Leone family built next to the town's rebuilt Ocean Road South seawall to June 23, after officials said unpermitted work could draw fines up to $300 a day.
Two more height and setback disputes on Gurnet Road were continued to May 14 and April 23.
