Duxbury's Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approved three special permits for home additions and a flood-zone rebuild. The board cleared a porch-and-garage addition at 287 Marshall Street after architect Matthew Cummings said building coverage would rise from 12 percent to 14.9 percent. It approved a raise-and-rebuild at 13 Ocean Road in the VE flood zone, conditioned on a revised site plan showing deck setbacks, after Building Inspector Jim Wasilewski flagged a missing dimension.
A neighbor, John Verity, called the project "great neighbors, great design." The board also approved a second-floor addition at 286 Enterprise Street using an existing shed's decades-old nonconformity to justify a 5.3-foot setback.
