Zoning Board · Meeting of May 14, 2026

DUXBURY — The Duxbury Zoning Board of Appeals continued the Villas at Keenbrook 40B hearing to July 9. Attorney Robert Galvin told the board the 28-unit, 18.7-acre project had been redesigned to satisfy state wildlife regulators, trimming the developed footprint to under 40 percent and setting seven units aside as affordable to households earning 80 percent of area median income. One board member said the project's repeated delays were "really insulting to this board." In separate votes, the board unanimously granted a 3.2-foot height variance and special permit for a FEMA-driven house-raising at 101 Gurnet Road, approved a two-story addition at 8 Mayflower Road over a neighbor's objection, and watched applicant Justin DeClose withdraw a contested home-office sign permit for 125 Bow Street after sustained opposition from abutters.
