Planning Board · Meeting of July 13, 2026

Duxbury's Planning Board continued two contested accessory dwelling unit hearings to July 27 and closed six completed-project escrow accounts. Engineer Kevin Flaherty of Flaherty and Stefani presented a 26-by-34.3-foot ADU at 508 Bay Road for applicants Devin and Allison Graham, but abutters objected that removed trees exposed their patio, with neighbor Ralph Davani saying "the patio is right directly across from this and that's where we spend all our time." A second hearing, for the Matterham family represented by Max Coppola of Ray Consulting, drew pointed questions from board member James B. Lampert, who argued an existing room above the family's garage "is an ADU.

So this would be a second ADU on the same lot." The board also approved a corrected covenant for Champion Builders and agreed to pursue an Old Colony Planning Council grant for solar and battery-storage zoning.
