Duxbury Schedules Back-to-Back Beach Forums for Early December

DUXBURY — November 21, 2023 — Duxbury sets two public beach meetings for early December following a 150-volunteer cleanup. Beach Reservation Director Chris Lataz told the Select Board at its November 21 meeting that a community forum on beachgoer feedback is scheduled for December 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Duxbury Maritime School, where state and local officials will take public concerns. The night before, on December 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Duxbury Senior Center, a joint Duxbury-Marshfield public meeting will provide an update on plans to rebuild the seawall and replace sand along the shared coastline; that session will air live on PACTV's Duxbury Government Channel. No formal votes were taken at Monday's meeting.
