Select Board delays vote on Checkerberry Hill moderate-income price amendment

DUXBURY — August 29, 2023 — Duxbury Select Board defers action on a proposed $37,000 increase to moderate-income unit prices at Checkerberry Hill. The board discussed an amendment to its agreement with Duxbury Lincoln that would raise the maximum sale price for moderate-income designated units from $522,000 to $559,000, citing revised area median income figures as the basis for the change. Units carrying an affordable designation would remain at their existing price under the proposal. Members chose not to vote, saying they needed to verify the revised figures first. The board is scheduled to take up the amendment again at its September 11 meeting.
